Except that today I realized that, while you can win the game fine and it will give you the ending statistics, no problem; if you lose, that is, if your civilization is wiped out, the lose ending is a cinematic that will never run, so the game hangs.
I'm pretty sure this is a problem only because the cinematics are not working, not for advisors, not for wonders built, and now, not for losing the game. If you don't lose, no problem! I just wanted to say thank you. I loved this game as a kid, and was really disappointed when I realized modern windows couldn't support it.
